Eric was prompt, explained the work and performed it in a timely manner: garage door overhaul. Initial problem was broken springs, he found and repaired other issues. It took about an hour. The only negative is the cost.

Had spring break. Service was performed as promised. They were on time as promised and performed work on a late Sunday evening. We were able to use the door the next day to get to work without any delays. For this, we were very grateful.

I chose Precision because of their specialization in springs. Their instructional video in springs was very helpful. Communication was excellent. They worked within our budget to get the essential repairs done without pushing for upgrades we couldn't afford. Andrew was courteous and conscientious despite the bitter cold and tight schedule.

My original call was to have my existing garage door checked for proper operation. It was decided that a new door was called for. The service technician set down with me and we made a decision on how to progress with getting a new door installed. The technician said that there was a two to three wait for an installation date and that was ok with me. In the next day or two someone called and said that they had an opening and that they would be out in a couple of days. I took a day of vacation to be home the day of the install, but at the last minute I received a call that there was a panel missing from the new door and they couldn't come out and do the work and they would call me to reschedule. A week or so later the work was rescheduled and I took another day of vacation to be home, but when the install crew arrived they found that the wrong size door had been ordered and could not complete the work. Again I received a call and an apology about the delays and a new scheduled install date. Again I had to take a day of vacation to be home. Finally after three attempts and the loss of three days of vacation the install was completed. I am not angry with anyone in particular and the service technician was great but from a customer service standpoint the ball was dropped several times and I will not call Precision to do any more garage door service work in the future.

Hi Ronald, I am sorry for the problem with the manufacturer on the first date of installation. Unfortunately they gave us bad information that led to us scheduling the install prematurely. Your second scheduled date was on Jan 6th, 2013. That day the state of Indiana was "emergency only" driving due to heavy snow/ice, and extremely cold temperatures. We work hard to schedule accurately, however sometimes we can't keep our appointments for reasons beyond our control. Technician Mike arrived and explained every step of our garage dual door spring repair. He was very competent and answered all of my questions as he worked, showing me different areas of wear as he went. Great service! Called for spring repair but ended up with a door rebuild. Mike explained and showed me all the hardware that was worn and decided to go ahead and have him replace it all. Cost me more than planned but with the warranty it was worth it. Mike knew what he was doing and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the service.

I called three companies for garage door repair at an investment property. I needed 2 springs & cables. Precision had the best price and was helpful in explaining repairs needed per my description. I received a call on the day of service confirming 2 hr window, then another when tech was on his way. I met "Jeff" at the property and appreciated how very friendly he was. He didn't mind my observing his work, which included the repairs requested and an inspection of the track and the garage door opener. He corrected a wire placement and adjusted the force settings on the opener, and straightened the track. He explained what was being done, and why. Overall, a good experience. *Couple notes: the phone quote didn't explain difference in spring quality nor difference in cost ('good' - what I was quoted, & 'better'- what I had). It was a surprising difference! (I think its rude to put the customer on the spot. I should have been given those options up front! I might not have gotten the best price? Good to ask about good, better, best whenever asking for quotes!!) Additionally, I replaced the old, rusted metal rollers with nylon. Maybe not necessary, but you can't even hear the door! Though quote was off, I feel good about the work performed.
