I selected Precision Garage Door Service because of the BBB rating, and the honest and friendly service advertised on a television ad. I was not disappointed! Kevin U called to tell me he was enroute and I liked him from just talking on the phone with him. I told him there were probably some things in the way for him to do his job, but I had pulled my car out. He stated that if anything needed to be moved, he would do it and he already liked my job because his previous 2 jobs of the day their door wouldn't even open. After asking me what my concerns were, he inspected the system parts and got the garage door to "skip" as I had stated. Kevin told me that pretty much everything was wrong with my garage door, except for the door - cables were frayed, garage door opener smelled like it was already burnt and I was lucky that my garage door had just been very noisy and jumping sometimes, because it was definitely showing many signs of safety issues that could have happened at any time. Kevin gave me 3 different options to fix the door - the top one was not the lowest cost and the bottom not the highest cost to repair and make my garage door safe. He explained the difference between the 3 options - not pressuring me on what to select and happily answered any questions about any differences in value and warranties. My garage door has NEVER been this quiet, not even when I had it everything replaced several years ago, by another company of course! It is so quiet now, I can hardly hear it and my cat can't hear it either - before she would know from any room in my condo that someone had opened the garage door. Before leaving Kevin explained everything he'd done and showed me the newer safety features that I had and asked me for if I had any questions. He asked if I felt he had done a 5 star job and I said yes - but the truth is, I'd like to give him a 10 for being so friendly, helpful and courteous while being professional at his job. He reminded me that if you call Precision Garage Door, you will get a real PERSON, 24 x 7 - something not many companies can say any more! Kevin, the Precision technician, quickly solved the issue I was having with my garage door. What I appreciate about Precision is their organized system—from the first phone call to the updates on timing and the technician’s arrival. They come fully prepared with all the right tools and parts, neatly stored in a spotless, professionally marked van. You can tell its Precision the moment they pull into the driveway. Precision makes recommendations as to what is needed to do the job but is clear to let you make the decision. The added value was tightening hinges, chain and oil where needed. Kevin also reminded me of a feature on the keypad that I had forgotten that is useful. We also reviewed records of when the garage door springs & motor was replaced to help with knowing what I can expect since the repair of garage door springs. The website is user friendly and talks about the employee and have videos to review.

I called on a Tuesday evening regarding a spring replacement, and technicians were on-site first thing Wednesday morning. They were very courteous, professional, informative, and a pleasure to be around. Since my garage door had been damaged from a collision a couple years ago, the technicians identified other failed/failing parts and provided many options for repair and/or replacement. Less than two hours later my garage door is basically brand new, and I appreciate that they provide military discounts as well. Precision will be my go-to service provider for any garage door needs.
