We really appreciated the quick response on a Saturday when we needed emergency garage door repair. However, we understand that a service call fee is necessary, because a trip to a house does not guarantee a job, but typically that fee is deducted from the bill if the company completes the job. Also, the $15.00 fuel fee should be included in the service call fee, not in addition too. This would make us think twice before calling your company again.
Thank you for the feedback. Some companies may waive their fee when doing work, however their cost for coming to your home does not go away, they have simply divided the cost into the repairs/parts you would have purchased. We typically charge an $80 total trip fee plus parts/repair, that includes the $65.00 Service Fee, and our $15 fuel charge. The fuel charge is something we can quickly adjust when gas prices drastically increase, while our service call fee has been the same for over 5 years. When we do phone quotes we tell customers the Total Trip fee is $80, I have reviewed your phone call and found our National Call Center that handles phone calls over night and on weekends, misquoted you and only mentioned the $65 fee, so I will have a check sent out today to refund your $15 fuel charge.
