I could not have been more impressed with service technician Brock Dickinson. I had a spring replaced by a competitor in January and Brock pointed out why the work was not done correctly, leading to my current problem in October. I will only have Brock work on my garage door with issues moving forward.

Recently purchased my home and noticed the garage door opener struggling (creaking, moaning, and motor pitch whining while opening the door). This triggered the service call. Have a 20 year old garage door and hardware with a newer looking opener (it really should not be struggling the way it was). Cannot remember my technicians name (apologies for that) but, he did a FANTASTIC job!!!!!!! At every stage, he took the time to explain things and go over all of the issues one by one. We first went through the door operation and the technician was able to immediately identify and diagnose the problems. He could tell the opener was not operating well and took note of the noises as well as the slam at the close and hard stop at the top when it was fully open. My Technician worked through several service options and we came to an agreed price to replace the main door springs, and main rod bearings (left, right, and center - which by the way, all the parts came with a 5 year warranty). Turns out, what should have been a center bearing, covered up by the old springs, was nothing more than a plastic bushing... this undoubtedly contributed to all the issues we were observing (and was causing more wear on either end of the rod and the bearings). The tech also (as part of the door service) replaced the sensors (which were found left over - and never installed from the newer opener installation), tightened the drive belt (that was installed incorrectly in the first place... he fixed this issue as well!!), and finally adjusted the open/close limits for the door itself to avoid the slamming we observed at the close and the hard stop at the top during the open. Once everything was completed, the technician went over all the repairs and demonstrated the open/close of the garage door. We were both able to tell the door opened and closed much more smoothly and the motor was noticeably MUCH more quiet... it was like having a new opener installed!!! Only then, was payment requested and I was happy to oblige!! Thank you Precision Garage Door, if you can look up my service technician and give him a bonus and a raise, he certainly deserves it after all the effort he put in on this door to make it right!! Please keep up the good work!!
