I called Precision since my garage door made an annoying noise when I closed it. It didn't affect the performance of the door, but I was worried nevertheless. (I had called a competitor who told me I needed to replace the opener and the springs, to which we said, "No way.") When Nick and apprentice Stuart arrived, I told them I thought the noise was coming from the plastic piece that connects the arm to the door track. Upon inspection, they agreed. However, the noise was only slightly reduced after replacing the piece. Fortunately, Nick was not deterred, and he kept considering other causes. Finally, he discovered that the screws holding the track to the wall were not tight. Once he tightened them, the problem was completely solved. (I think the plastic piece needed to be replaced, so I'm OK with that small expenditure.) I'm very pleased that Nick spent the required time (more than 2 hours) to solve the problem. I'm also very glad that the noise is gone!

We had had another company come for a quote for a repair and felt that their “Free Estimate” was anything but free unless you were willing to sign up for services asap. After asking around with many different acquaintances we kept hearing that we should call Precision Garage Door or Indiana. Nick Z came out for a same day appointment and was a likeable and conscientious man who gave us the information that we needed to make an informed decision. We opted to repair our door rather than completely replace. Nick and trainee Brandon were dispatched to my home at my request for a garage door tune-up (I was excited I had a coupon for $69). Unfortunately, there were other issues that needed to be addressed. They were more than kind, honest as well as empathetic, but not at all 'pushy.' They worked to obtain the best possible pricing, and when I agreed to move ahead with the improvements, they physically worked very efficiently to remedy the potentially damaging issues that existed (wrong springs, rusted bottom brackets, worn cables, & original rollers - which were all stressing out my opener). I also asked that they install new bottom rubber on the door. They did it all and were extremely neat; no mess at all. Even though it certainly cost more than I was intending to spend, it was a pleasant and comforting experience! Nick and Brandon were great!

Needed a repair on an almost 30 year old garage door assembly. Could have paid for a temporary fix for an indefinite amount of time, but after learning the cost of a brand new system, I was sold! I came home on a Sunday night to find that my garage door wouldn’t open due to a broken spring. I called Garage Door Service that evening and was able to get an appointment scheduled for the very next day — super responsive! Nick and his apprentice handled the repair and were both incredibly friendly, professional, and informative throughout the process. They not only fixed the broken spring but also recommended a few additional repairs that made sense, including replacing my garage keypad, which hadn’t worked in years. The service was top-notch, and the pricing felt very reasonable. What impressed me most was what happened afterward: Nick called me after the job to let me know they had mistakenly installed the wrong springs (a lower-grade version) and offered to return first thing the next morning to replace them with the correct ones — which he did. Mistakes happen, but owning up to them and making it right without being prompted says a lot about their integrity. Many companies wouldn’t have gone that extra mile. I really can’t speak highly enough about the service I received from Nick — dependable, honest, and genuinely customer-focused.

Nick and the other repair technician were punctual, professional and courteous. They described the repair process and priced out my options clearly. Although there was an attempt to upsell some optional upgrades, they answered all my questions that allowed me to make an appropriate decision without any pressure. They had all the needed parts on the truck to finish the job quickly. Also booking the appointment was fast and convenient to my schedule. The lady took all relevant info up front so repair techs were prepared. Very excellent service.
