We originally contacted Precision through Angie's List to have a broken spring repaired. First, I'll say that Jeremy was extremely professional, polite, and efficient. He inspected the door and showed us that the cables & bearings (original to the home) and rollers (had been replaced with plastic by the previous owner) were breaking down. We went ahead and purchased the package with the more expensive springs (they will apparently last longer), cables, bearings, and rollers (no longer plastic). Not having been able to compare prices with another repair company, I can't say whether or not this was the best deal, but the door operates much more smoothly and quietly, we gained a lifetime warranty, and if we purchase a new door through Precision, we can use these parts versus purchasing new parts. They've locked in our business for a new door, but that's smart business on their part.

You did not meet my expectations. Your service person try to sell my repair at a 520.00 cost and your competitor charged me 120.00. The first words before even looking at my problem, he asked have I thought about a new garage door. I eventually will need a new garage door, but I do not appreciate the b.s repair quote. I will not recommend your company to anyone!!! V
Hi Vivian, I am very sorry you were so displeased with our service. Our goal at Precision is to fix your door in a way that will last, as well as offer with the best long term value. Your wooden was rotting through at the bottom. This is caused by long term lack of maintenance/painting. Rotten wood is not repairable. Your door needs to be replaced as soon as possible. The damage to your door goes way beyond cosmetic appearance, rotten wood is no longer structurally secure and can make your door unsafe. The competitor charged $120 to get the door working knowing you'd be replacing the door soon regardless and that money would be lost and wasted. Is that the kind of service you really want? I stand by the recommendation of my technician, and if you would like to proceed with the new door I will be happy to work with you on the price as well as count the money you paid for the original service toward the cost of the door. The technician seemed very knowledgeable and finished the installation of the new garage door opener in the time he said it would take. However, the system doesn't work properly. The technician stated that the circuit board was bad----something that was practically unheard of but yet it was a bad board. The safety feature, and the remote clicker doesn't work. I also have to hold the button down or the door will not close. I hope this is fixed in the next day or two because you have already been paid for a half done job. Am I happy? NO!

Since we have had 3 spring failures in the last 14 years, I requested lifetime warranty springs and Josh recommended fixing the rollers and bearings in order to make sure that the new springs and my garage door opener would last as long as possible. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it will be worth it knowing that we will have no further spring replacement expenses.

I chose this company mainly for the 4-hour guaranteed service even on weekends; however, I called on a Sat and the first available time was the following Mon, and that didn't work for me, so I had to take Wed off work. That is the only reason for the 4 stars b/c I had my hopes up for a weekend fix and felt the website was misleading. The technicians that showed up were great and friendly.

Andrew is perfect. He was running ahead of schedule and called to see if he come earlier to inspect my door closer. I was early as well ans said yes. He had the problem diagnosed in 15 minutes and repaired in another 15 minutes. Also maintenced the door hinges and rollers. I couldn't of asked for more. I will continue to Precision for all future garage door issues. Thank you!

I am uncertain of how durable the nylon rollers are but the service was well-done and the new keypad works just fine. It was expensive but if it works for many years to come and the rollers hold up, it will be a good investment.

I had a complete garage door overhaul because my door was 20+ years old and was wearing out. Eric explained in detail which parts were bad, why they had gone bad, and showed me the defective parts after removing them. He was very polite and didn't mind me watching the whole process and talking to him throughout even though it probably slowed him down some answering all my questions. I would give Precision and Eric 10 stars if it were possible. Sure it wasn't bargain basement prices but I have no problem paying a fair amount (or even a premium price) when I get service that has no equal in town. I will never use any other company for my future garage door needs other than Precision Garage Door of Indianapolis. If you want it done right the first time this is the company to call.
