Josh was great. I was disappointed in my initial phone call. I feel as though it is a little deceitful to say you are running a special on repairing one spring + not tell customer upfront that the other spring will likely break if you don't repair both at one time. I will not recommend your service because of this.

Hi Laura, Thank you for the feedback. Many doors in this area are originally installed with only one spring(this is cheaper option some companies use to shave cost, that ends up costing the homeowner down the road), therefore when a customer calls we don't really know what they will need. There are also cases where although its recommended to replace both springs at the same time, some companies don't do it this way, in hopes of tacking on another trip fee when the second breaks in my opinion. We just can't speculate over the phone what is needed in your specific case, nor what work you may have had done in the past. I assure you when you were quoted there was no intent to deceive you, and hope you will reconsider and use Precision Door in the future, and recommend us to friends and neighbors. I have been extremely pleased with the level of service and professionalism with Precision Doors. They came the same day I called and were able to meet me after my work day. It only took them a matter of minutes to detect and fix my garage door opener's problem. The technician even did some extra preventative maintenance because the repair took no time at all. I would recommend Precision any time!

Hi Shemika, Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately due to the low clearance, and the support beam obstruction your doors are currently at the maximum height we can get them to open. A cable broke on the garage door and the door was in a serious bind. Of course, this happened on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. I called the repair company normally used (I try and support my local businesses). The message said they were closed for the holiday and would be open on Tuesday. Doing a quick Google search for a different company, the first listed was Precision, stating they would respond within 4 hours 24/7. They were at my house in about 2 hours. In my conversation with Josh, he responded to all my question with clear information. He also pointed out some of the shortcuts in past repairs which included wrong sized springs, unmatched bolts, a long frozen bearing and a couple of other disturbing items. When shown the proof, it was unsettling. Over the past 20 years, we have had between 8 and 10 door springs break. There was no pressure to do anything more than to get the door funtional again. Armed with the facts, it was my decision to rebuild the door. I give Precision and Josh the 5 star rating and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. To Precision I say, "Give Josh a raise!" He is a value added employee.

Thank you for your feedback Chris, I spoke with Josh and he apologized for any poor explanation on his part, but he certainly did not mean to indicate the standard springs were a cheap part to you. The standard springs we carry are just that "Standard Springs", they are what is considered standard cycle use springs in the industry. We also offer a better warranty on these standard springs than most of the competitors we've compared them to on both the part and the labor. We also offer our Precision High Cycle springs, that come with an unprecedented warranty in our industry, they have a drastically longer life expectancy, and although more expensive, a much better value. Typically when a customer calls and "how much is a spring replacement?" our staff is trained to assume that customer is looking for the lowest price, and therefore you would be quoted on our standard springs. That being said the technician still needs to explain every option and make his recommendations. I hope this sheds some light on the difference. Since I wasnt home when the installation was completed, i cant comment on the appearance of the technician. However, I did talk to him on the phone, and he seemed very professional in communicating the issues with the door. Upon seeing the completed work and operating the door, I can say that the work was performed without flaw. The door hasnt operated this well since i have owned the house (16 yrs). Thanks for a job well done.
