One of our garage door springs snapped yesterday afternoon. I saw a coupon for Precision in a mailer, so I called. They weren't able to get anybody to my house until almost 24 hours later. The service tech, Orlando, was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. But rather than just repair the spring, he tried to upsell me on a bunch of other improvements. I don't blame him personally, as I imagine this is company policy. But a $350 coupon was turning into quotes of $970 (cheapest) to $1700 (longest lasting). All of this for a garage door that is only 8 years old! He agreed to email me the quotes so I could look them over, and only perform the originally-requested spring replacement for the time being. He did a fine job, so this review is in no way meant to reflect poorly on Orlando. But I do not appreciate companies that try to take advantage of folks whose cars are stuck in the garage, by attempting to convince them to pay hundreds (or a thousand dollars) more for improvements that are not necessary. I got a second opinion from another company, and they agreed that there was no need to do more than replace the springs. So while "upselling" seems to be a common business practice, I am happy to see that not every company relies on it.

Precision replaced a defective opener with a very quiet one for us in the past, so we called them again when the other garage door opener was acting erratically. The primary problem turned out to be a broken spring and worn out bearing, not the opener. Orlando was efficient and paid attention to little things that made a difference in how the door works. He also lubed the rollers on the other garage door as a courtesy. I called at 1:30pm and they were out the next day. It was not an emergency, so next-day service was great!

We have used Precision Door for over 15 years. We saw there commercial on TV. We appreciated how fast they were able to come out and correct our issue. Today, 3/29/2025 we had a situation where our door would go down as far as 2" above being closed and open back up. Orlando came out he was very polite and honest; he had all the knowledge needed to fix the "eye" which had to be replaced, they were 25 years old. But we had additional questions, and he answered a number of them but if he didn't know he was up front and said he would have to check with someone else. I so much appreciate honesty to that level. It was a joy working with him.

We have used Precision Garage Door Service before and they were great so we called them again when our garage door opener wasn’t working right.
