Tyler G. called and asked if he could come a little earlier than scheduled and I agreed. We discussed the problems I had been having with my garage door opener and what I had done in an effort to repair it. After some checking of the opener, he presented me with some options ranging from replacing the control board in the opener to completely replacing my 20 year old opener. he explained the different prices, what was included with each option, and the warranties of each option. I decided to replace the entire unit and he had a new unit installed in less than an hour. He then provided me with a tutorial of the new unit, programmed the unit with the new remote openers, and programmed the Home-link units in my two automobiles. He did not make a mess, cleaned up all of the packaging and old parts, and made sure I understood everything about the new opener. He was very polite, mature, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

There was a mix up in the scheduling and was notified as soon as they caught it. Our technician Ben was very understanding about the situation. He was the perfect technician to work with because his experience and his ability to explain what he had to do to correct our problems. After explaining to us what really needed to be done to fix the issue, we spent more that we expected. But we couldn’t be happier with the results. Open and closing the door is so much quieter. Our son has sensitive hearing and it doesn’t even bother him like before. We know that we will be replacing the garage door opener soon and we know what company we will be calling and what technician we will request. I chose Precision because of an ad I saw advertising free service call. I was looking to replace the sensors on 2 garage doors. Ben the tech- very nice and knowledgeable told me I would have to replace both units because the base unit was too old. Fine not what I was looking to do but I understood until he quoted me over $900 for 2 units. My friend just had hers replaced for $350. When I told Ben I would think about it He said that would be $80 for the service call. My free coupon only works if you get a repair. It took less than 15 mins. Needless to say I have called a few other companies and the going rate is $340-$350 no service fee

Very professional.. Ben was my guys name and he did a good job, was knowledgeable, did an inspection and recommendation of future problems that may arise, left me a quote and wasn't pushy or trying to make an immediate sale. He was very friendly, groomed like a real man and former military.. did the job pretty quick even though I talked to him most of the time. The owner gives them the best equipment and vehicles to use and they take great pride in being an asset to their company

Ben, the service tech was great, he earned the one star. There is a disconnect between the call center and the service folks. I informed the phone rep, Alex, of exactly what I needed: 240 lbs extension spring replacement. She quoted a price for that size spring, stating the service fee would be waived if we bought from them. Upon arrival, the sales pitch began for a fully upgraded door. I explained I just wanted to fix the immediate problem. The tech ended up on the phone and said the boss doesn't like to fix extension springs of that weight. When finally cornered, a price for the springs, which he didn't have on the truck, was nearly 4x the stated price. Nice guy, but I didn't call so I could meet a nice guy. Paid $80 "service" fee for a sales pitch. Why does the website say they work on both torsion and extension springs if the refuse to? Why is the extension spring on the cover page show a heavy weight style if they don't service them? Very disappointed.

Hi John, I'm very sorry we let you down. We didn't communicate properly, part of the reason is our customer service aren't used to hearing the term "Extension Spring", while you stated everything accurately on the call, they are used to customers reffering to Springs in many different terms. Here in central IN Extension are extremely rare. We only come across one once in every approximately 1000 service calls. That is the reason we don't keep them in the truck. While I have no issue repairing them at the customers request, and we do keep them in stock at the warehouse, we do advise against it in most circumstances especially on a door as heavy as yours. They simply are an inferior design on top of not nearly being as safe as torsion counterbalance systems. I hope the refund of the service fee was satisfactory, I apologize for the wasted time of the experince. We will learn from this error. Thank you, Joel Belyew

Our technician showed up right at the appointment time, and looked at all of the components first. He then explained how the door operates and gave options and prices for recommended repairs. We chose just to replace both springs. The repairs were made quickly and we have a functioning door once again! Service was great!

I called Saturday morning regarding a broken spring and a very pleasant voice answered setting up an appointment that afternoon from 4-6 pm. I received a call before 2 pm that an earlier time from 2-4 pm was available and I said yes. About 10 minutes later I got a call and the technician would arrive in 10 minutes. Ben Heflin arrived and introduced himself. Ben evaluated the situation and checked several options for the best deal for me and I said go ahead with the PDS overhaul. Ben conducted him self with true professionalism. He made a complete inspection of all components and asked if I had any questions and I relied no. He cleaned up all the replaced parts and finished the contract. I am completely satisfied with the quick response as well as Bens knowledge and expertise. Thank You
