I called initially for help programming my key pad. The service rep was personable and knowledgeable. The home I moved into had a garage door opener that was almost 25 years old. I did not want to get stuck in the middle of the winter with a burned out motor. I opted for a new motor. The price was about $400 less than one of the main competitors. I am happy i decided to be better safe than sorry.

Last Sunday evening when I attempted to open my garage door opener it made a loud click and I saw and smelled smoke coming out of it. I was happily surprised that being Sunday evening when I called Precision, I actually got a real human being on the phone. The technician Ben came by early the next morning. He diagnosed the problem that my motor was indeed dead and fixed me up with a new opener complete with all the new bells and whistles and soo much quieter! Ben came out today to look at our garage door making some popping noises. He looked at everything and found the problem. Explained to me what was wrong and fixed it. The quality of work was very nice. The technician was outstanding. My only concern is I could of got all the parts for 275, but I paid close to 800 for the repair. Also it was springs and rollers, but I could not choose that option.

The entire experience from POGDS was great, from the prompt response for scheduling, updates about arrival time and a quick bio about Ben prior to our scheduled appointment. Ben was not only on time, but it was clear he respected the distancing measures in place due to covid and was respectful of our needs and budget. He clearly explained the various options and even went as far as recommending Maintenace procedures for long term care, this is always appreciated as I know nothing about garage door upkeep. Ben was respectful of my lack of knowledge and helped consult rather than sell, this is a HUGE plus in my book. When I called, the scheduler immediately got me on the schedule that same day which was great. Ben called when he was on his way and arrived in the timeframe he indicated. He was courteous and explained everything thoroughly. He repaired the broken spring as well as some other components that were going bad. It wasn't long before he had things back up and running. He did a great job and I would call Precision again in the future.
