Recently purchased my home and noticed the garage door opener struggling (creaking, moaning, and motor pitch whining while opening the door). This triggered the service call. Have a 20 year old garage door and hardware with a newer looking opener (it really should not be struggling the way it was). Cannot remember my technicians name (apologies for that) but, he did a FANTASTIC job!!!!!!! At every stage, he took the time to explain things and go over all of the issues one by one. We first went through the door operation and the technician was able to immediately identify and diagnose the problems. He could tell the opener was not operating well and took note of the noises as well as the slam at the close and hard stop at the top when it was fully open. My Technician worked through several service options and we came to an agreed price to replace the main door springs, and main rod bearings (left, right, and center - which by the way, all the parts came with a 5 year warranty). Turns out, what should have been a center bearing, covered up by the old springs, was nothing more than a plastic bushing... this undoubtedly contributed to all the issues we were observing (and was causing more wear on either end of the rod and the bearings). The tech also (as part of the door service) replaced the sensors (which were found left over - and never installed from the newer opener installation), tightened the drive belt (that was installed incorrectly in the first place... he fixed this issue as well!!), and finally adjusted the open/close limits for the door itself to avoid the slamming we observed at the close and the hard stop at the top during the open. Once everything was completed, the technician went over all the repairs and demonstrated the open/close of the garage door. We were both able to tell the door opened and closed much more smoothly and the motor was noticeably MUCH more quiet... it was like having a new opener installed!!! Only then, was payment requested and I was happy to oblige!! Thank you Precision Garage Door, if you can look up my service technician and give him a bonus and a raise, he certainly deserves it after all the effort he put in on this door to make it right!! Please keep up the good work!!

Andrew replaced the broken spring and inspected the garage door mechanics, he offered some other repairs that might be needed in the future. I called Precision Garage Door in the morning, and Robert came out that afternoon. He examined our garage door and opening mechanism, and then explained to us what he had found. He wrote up several different options that we could take in fixing the issues and left it up to us to make the decision. No pressure at all! Once we had decided which option to take, he went to work right away fixing it. When he was done, our garage door worked smoothly and much more quietly. I always use Precision Door Service of Indianapolis. My latest service call was due to a loud screech when the door was opened or closed. I also need to have the weather strip on the bottom of my door replaced because field mice were getting in my garage! Andrew, my technician arrived very soon after I called. I had been in need of having someone check out why my garage door wasn't operating properly. Monday evening I saw the commercial for your company on television. Tuesday morning I called and was given a time that afternoon. Shortly after my call, I received a call from a very nice lady in your office advising me that she had a technician that could actually come out within in the hour if I wanted. The technician was here in about 30 minutes to check out the problem. Eli was the technician and was very informative as to what he was doing and why.
